Participants will be able to identify the basic components of the Orton-Gillingham method; give examples of multi-sensory activities for reading and spelling; define a phoneme and explain why isolating phonemes is important for dyslexics; identify the seven syllable types and explain why the O-G method is best for dyslexics.
