We teach so that students UNDERSTAND, KNOW, and CAN DO. Is there a better way to communicate the results of our teaching? Maybe it’s time for us to question one of our time-honored sacred cows in education – traditional grading systems.  Come with an open mind, willing to THINK about the logic (or lack thereof) behind how we “grade” students. Learn a number of reasons why this system is “broken” and in need of repair.
