You probably see Quick Response (QR) codes in advertisements, on products, and online every day. QR codes, like bar codes, are becoming more and more prevalent in education and everywhere else (advertisements, TV, your bag of chips, soda, etc.). These codes are easy to make and can lead to some fun learning opportunities. We’ll explore how these two-dimensional codes can be used as a helpful learning tool in the classroom. If you or your students or parents or classroom visitors have a mobile device, you’ll be able to scan QR codes– Perfect for Open Houses, Fine Arts Festivals, Parent Nites, Literacy Events, Classroom Scavenger Hunts, and much more!

*If possible, before coming to this session, please download a free QR Code Scanner for your smartphone, iPad, or other device. See the following link for a list of several code readers/scanners available for download: http://goo.gl/ZtCRp   (K-12)
