This presentation reveals practical, arts-integration techniques that transform traditional teacher-centric lessons into engaging student-led activities. Dr. D’Agostino, while reinforcing curricular standards, discusses how improving lesson plans through arts-integration can decrease teacher frustration; increase student test scores; and improve student behavior. During the presentation, participants form small groups to collaborate and practice, using arts-integration to re-think concepts in lesson that may be difficult for students to grasp. (K-8)
